    Bokrijk

The Bokrijk open air museum is situated near Hasselt, Belgium and it shows a number of important examples of rural architecture in Belgium from the 14-18 century, old houses, windmills and farms that have been preserved and moved here. By visiting the museum you can see how people lived in that ancient times.

Bokrijk used to be visited only in daytime, until the Bokrijk by Night automatization project, realized by R&D International NV using the latest technologies and the already successfull products, like the Maxxyz.

Beautiful by daytime, now Bokrijk is extraordinary by nightime, and all that thanks to the R&D International NV specialists in software, hardware and light-shows design who made this possible. You can now enter a land of mystery and legends, a show of music and light that surrounds you and makes you think you are part of this magic world.

For this project we have created a lot of custom specialized equipment and software, all the show being controlled from a moving shuttle by the means of the radio waves, all the lights being syncronized perfectly with the music and the story.

In order to achieve these results, 46 houses have their own Maxxyz PC version, controlling 46 DMX universes in total with time-code and syncronyzed in a network measuring 7 KM of optical fiber.
